When a device is misplaced

In case you lose your device and it has Oxeris software installed we recommend you to follow the steps listed below:


  • Report the incident at the nearest Police Station. Remember to provide as much information about the lost equipment as possible (serial number, IMEI number, full name of the device, the serial numbers of components, device characteristic, etc.). All those technical parameters of the device registered and authorized in the system are available in a form of a detailed report on the Oxeris portal.

  • Log into the Oxeris and make sure that the tracking feature is activated. Next activate the "Theft mode".

  • Remotely copy files and sensitive data from the device, remove the data or lock the device (you can copy and then erase selected information).

  • Every time the thief will try to connect to the Internet, automatically, in the background a packet of information about the current position of the device will be sent to the system. The updated data will be collected in a form of a report, which should be provided as evidence to the Police.

  • Under no circumstances should you deal with the thief by yourself!

  • Immediately inform superiors and people responsible for IT Asset Management in your organization (system administrators, designated IT department employee, safety and audit department employees) about the risk situation.
